How Buy from the North Circle Food Hub

Our platform is an on-line ordering service where you can select what you want to buy between Saturday 8:00 a.m. and Wednesday 12:00 p.m. You will receive a confirmation via e-mail for your order and you can pick up your order between 2:00 p.m. and close at the drop site that you selected. HERE IS A QUICK VIDEO THAT EXPLAINS THE STEPS NEEDED TO PLACE YOUR ORDER

IMPORTANT ORDERING TIP: After selecting your products, click the cart icon in the upper right corner to complete the order and checkout!!! If you don’t receive a confirmation email – you will know that you forgot to checkout properly. 

Here are the steps outlined in the video above

  1. Go to the online list of products at: https://www.farmersweb.com/producers/north-circle-food-hub/
  2. IMPORTANT: Do not click “Sign In” or “Join” in the upper right corner.
  3. TO LOG IN OR CREATE AN ACCOUNT: Scroll down and select something you want to purchase, click the orange “shop now” button to the right of any product.
    1. A pop up box will appear where you can either login (if you are a returning customer), or create a login (if you are a new customer).
    2. FOR NEW CUSTOMERS: After you create your account – ignore the page you are taken too. It’s not the correct page for logging in. Instead, you must confirm your account by clicking on the link in the email you will have just received in your inbox. That link will activate your account and take you to the North Circle product page. Log in as outlined in #2, i.e., scroll down and click the orange “shop now” button to the right of any product).
  4. TO SHOP: Once logged in, scroll down, and click on the cart icon to the right of the first product you are interested in purchasing. Whenever you make a product selection:
    1. A pop up box will appear where you can choose the PICK UP LOCATION AND PICK UP DATE. Choose the closest delivery date. Scroll down to select QUANTITY of PRODUCT and click “Add to Cart”.
  5. CONTINUE SHOPPING by adding items by clicking the cart icon to the right of the product you would like to order. The popup box will appear where you again will choose location, date and quantity.
  6. TO COMPLETE YOUR ORDER: Click the shopping cart icon at the top right corner of your screen. *****IF YOU HAVE MET THE MINIMUM ORDER – CLICK THE GREEN “CHECKOUT” BUTTON TO PAY****. If you have not met the $15 minimum, you can click the “Continue Shopping” button to add more products to your order. IMPORTANT ORDERING TIP: After selecting your products, click the cart icon in the upper right corner to complete the order and checkout!!! If you don’t receive a confirmation email – you will know that you forgot to checkout properly. 
  7. COMPLETE YOUR PAYMENT: If you have already paid for an order previously on your credit card that card will be saved and you can select it as payment method. If no card is saved you can add a new card.
  8. VERIFY COMPLETION OF PAYMENT: Once you have completed your purchase you will receive an order confirmation email. IF YOU DO NOT RECEIVE AN ORDER CONFIRMATION EMAIL YOU HAVE NOT FULLY CHECKED OUT YOUR ORDER, and NORTH CIRCLE HAS NOT RECEIVED THE ORDER. Please double check that you have chosen a payment method and clicked the green “Complete Purchase” button.
  • PICK UP YOUR ORDER at the site you have selected on Tuesday before noon. Check more exact delivery schedule on northcirclefoodhub.com

What is North Circle?

North Circle is an online farmers market made up of about 20 organic, small family farms from East Central Minnesota and the surrounding areas.

What are your prices?

Our prices are set by our famers and are reflective of local farmers market prices. You can see specific prices by looking at the availbility list each week (June - October). There are no additional fees to customers. 

What do you sell on the North Circle Online Farmers Market?

Offerings vary from week to week based on what is in season. Throughout the year, you'll find a wide variety of vegetables, fruit - including apples and berries, meat, bread, flour, berries, mushrooms, herbs, flowers, maple syrup and honey and pantry goods such as handcrafted soap and lip balm. Please visit our online portal to see what is offered on a given week.

Why was I charged a different amount than was on my invoice?

The invoice you receive upon checking out is preliminary. A few things can happen to change that total:

  • Meat is charged by the pound. While the listing gives an approximate weight, we weigh each cut as we pack boxes and then enter this weight into your final invoice (which can be found here).
  • Very occasionally we'll need to refund you for a given item because Mother Nature unexpectedly intervened and it was no longer available to include with the rest of your order.
How do I pay for my goods?

If you've ever ordered anything online, you'll find that the process for ordering through North Circle Online Farmers Market is similar. After you've chosen everything you'd like to order, you'll check out. Most people pay via credit or debit card while checking out.  If so, the chage will show up on your statement as being from FarmersWeb (our online commerce portal).

You can prepay for the season by becoming a superbuyer. This helps our farmers know they will have some stability throughout the season and it helps you to establish the habit of ordering regularly.

How and where do I pick up my order?

As you check out, you'll choose a dropsite (listed below and on the map) from which you'll pick up your order. It will be available for you to pick up on Friday between the hours listed below. If you have pickup issues on the day of pickup, please call your drop site host directly.

Is there a minimum order?

The minimum order for 2018 is $15.

Is your produce organic?

All of our farmers have agreed to our farmers pledge, in which they agree to adhere to organically certified methods (whether certified or not) and excludes the use of non-organic pesticides, herbicides, and fungicides. Excludes genetically modified organisms (GMO), or sludge.

What is your vision?

Our vision is to grow food and community together while creating a regional food system. We want to have a local alternative to industrial food where you can meet your farmers, support small family farms and know that your produce is actually organic, sustainable and beyond.

Why did WEI start the North Circle Farmers Market?
Because we care about human health; we care about the land; we care about really good, real and tasty food; we care about the sustainability of small family farms; and we care about and believe in creating a local farm-to-family food community in East Central Minnesota.
